The miracle of water...

David was able to accompany the team of well drillers when they traveled to a village yesterday to find out why a bore hole was pumping dirt. They were able to fix the problem and you can see the clean water being pumped. The man with the broad smile is Mr. Lackson Banda. He has been with WHIZ for almost a year now and is very good with the drilling rig. He works very hard.

Take a look at this church... It's in one of the remote villages outside of Pemba. Check out the pews, solid rock and cement! Many of the villages are made up of thatched huts but the church building in each village is very well made. They have gone to great lengths to build a wonderful house in which they may gather and praise God.

These homes are made from brick, which withstand the weather better, but most homes in villages are made from thatch and mud. You notice how clean it is in the church and outside the homes? Each morning finds many people sweeping, with homemade brooms, the ground in front of their housing. They are very proud of their homes.
