Blessings

What a busy few weeks we have had! Another garage sale last week was a great success. We have advertised "moving" sales and as everyone asks where we are moving, it's a wonderful opportunity to share our appointment. People have been so encouraging. David and I are feeling stronger each day. We can see now that the journey from here to there is growing our faith by leaps and bounds.

We were at Community Wesleyan last weekend. We shared during Sunday School and then for a few minutes during service. It's so great to renew friendships with people we first met at Detroit Metro on our way out of the country to Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama or El Salvador on a mission trip. Community is a very mission minded church and has adopted a village in Zambia through WHI. We will be seeing a team from their church during our first year in Zambia. Communitys' website has a WONDERFUL video of their trip to Zambia, visit http://www.communitywc.com/, click on Missions, Global Missions and Sianyinda (our village). The video is so moving!

Still no offers on the house but we know God has a buyer, just not sure where they are and how "far" away. The house is looking great, so clean and uncluttered. Last night while mowing the lawn had two different "drivebys". We have had a number of them.

David and I are continuing to read and look at everything we can about Zambia and its' people. Jo Ann Lyon of WHI emailed a wonderful update yesterday about the drilling of a well in a small village in Zambia. It's heartwarming, can't imagine what it would be like to walk three miles daily for water. The villagers were singing and praising God as the water shot out of the ground. If you have the opportunity, check out the WHI website (http://www.worldhope.net/).

We can't wait to meet with the Jeff Johnson and his wife on Wednesday. We have so many questions for them. They were in Choma for two years and just returned last month. Their experiences will be invaluable to us. We received a schedule of the teams traveling to Zambia during the next year and we will be busy!

Our friends have really begun to encourage us. I wonder if some thought it was just a whim and are now seeing it is a reality for us. Lots of people stopping by, calling and sending notes. What a blessing the internet will be in Zambia, we will still be able to keep in contact with family and friends and send pictures and videos.

Still working on the malaria medication issue, most inexpensive meds make you very sensitive to the sun.. Jeff Johnson has had malaria, our concerns are very real. We continue to do research, if anyone has any knowledge about any meds, please let us know.

The month of September finds us booked every Sunday morning and some Sunday evenings at district churches. Please pray that our lists of prayer and financial partners continue to grow. We are at 22% of our goal! Thanks for being there for us and your continued prayers are such a blessing to us.
